Human Factors Engineer | Human-AI-Robot Teaming | Cognitive Systems Engineering | Safety
<aside> 🎨 Howdy! I'm Hyun-Gee “Abigail” Jei, a PhD candidate at Texas A&M University. I major in industrial and systems engineering with a special focus on human factors engineering. My research interest is in creating sensor-based adaptive multi-modal interfaces for workers in complex and dynamic environments such as military, oil & gas, and healthcare. I hope to create and promote safe work environments through my research!

As a PhD student at Texas A&M University majoring in Industrial and Systems Engineering, I am a creative thinker and problem solver, always studying the latest trends and methods in cognitive systems engineering. My main research interest focuses on creating safe and resilient workplaces through creating decision support tools via sensor-based adaptive interface for the workers in complex environments. Recently, I got interested in Human-AI-Robot Teaming (HART) and started exploring interesting topics such as bi-directional feedback to improve human experience while interacting with robots!
When I'm not engrossed in my research work or in project meetings, you can find me in the lab talking with undergraduate students to mentor them with their mini research projects. If not there, I am usually in a climbing gym or outside running!
